Privacy policy
How we look after your data. Last updated June 2026.
This policy explains how Finance Fest(“we”, “us”), a festival created by iLA Law, collects and uses your personal data, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. The data controller is iLA Law Ltd (company no. 13688298), 41 Seldown Lane, Poole, Dorset, BH15 1UA. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@financefest.co.uk.
What we collect
- Waitlist sign-ups: your name and email address when you join the 2027 waitlist.
- Enquiries: any details you include when you email or message us.
- Usage data: if you accept analytics cookies, anonymised information about how you use the site (pages viewed, device, approximate region) via Google Analytics.
How we use it & our lawful basis
- To run the waitlist and tell you when tickets go live, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To respond to enquiries, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you.
- To improve the site: analytics, only where you have given cookie consent.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of trusted processors to run the festival:
- Mailchimp (Intuit): to store waitlist sign-ups and send ticket announcements.
- Google Analytics: site analytics (only with your consent).
- Vercel: website hosting.
Cookies
We only set analytics cookies if you accept them via the cookie banner. You can decline, and we won't load Google Analytics. Essential cookies needed to run the site may still be used.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until the 2027 ticket cycle is complete or you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict its use. To exercise any of these, email hello@financefest.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy as the festival develops. The latest version will always live on this page.
